The Nairobi Code

Since the founding of the SRLAN, the Nairobi Code has served its members as the guiding principles for ethical practices in refugee status determination and other legal services provided to refugees and asylum-seekers.  However, as the field of legal aid to refugees and asylum-seekers becomes more developed, the Nairobi Code may need to be revisited and revised.

As such, the Nairobi Code Working Group continuously discusses the relevance of the Nairobi Code to current legal aid work, and updates it as needed.  For more information, please contact Martin Jones.
